Summer is officially here. This weekend, you can beat the heat with an ice-cold beer at Fort Myers’s Brewing Company. Thursday night was one of their summer beer fest, and there’s fun for the whole family! It was a brew-tiful night Thursday at Fort Myers Brewing Company. Lawn chairs, live musicand of course refreshments, but this annual fun isn’t just 21 plus. There were food trucks, families and furry friends. Co-owner Jennifer Whyte said nobody is left out of the festivities. “I think it’s all of it. I think it’s being able to come out in the summer, know that it’s your community, your friends, your family, your neighbors and enjoy some good music, good food and of course, great beer,” Whyte said. And the party isn’t over yet. Beerfest is going strong all weekend. Friday, they’re expecting an even bigger crowd, so if you’re planning on going, hops, skip or jump to get a spot early.
