The City of Cape Coral and Mayor John Gunter held a media event to announce this designation in partnership with the city’s animal shelter. The event began at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the City Hall Flag Pole located at 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. According to city officials, this certification recognizes the effort to welcome pets, offer pet-friendly programs and amenities, and help keep people and pets together in tough times.
