Leeland Heights Blvd. closed after power pole struck during crash

A power pole was struck during a crash in Lehigh Acres, closing Leeland Heights Boulevard near Eighth Avenue.

According to the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District, a power pole was left dangling from its wires after a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning on Leeland Heights Boulevard knocked out its base.

Traffic is stopped in both directions while the Lee County Electric Company works on the power lines.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is aiding LCEC by redirecting traffic away from the scene.

No injuries have been reported.
