Lee County Sheriff’s Office vehicle. (Credit: LCSO) The Sanibel Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-car crash involving a utility pole in Captiva. According to SPD, the crash was reported at around 10:07 a.m. on Wednesday near Sanibel Captiva Road. The down pole left live electrical wires on the ground, prompting the road to be closed while law enforcement and the Lee County Electric Company worked the scene. All lanes of traffic have since reopened. No power outages were reported due to this crash. No injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
