As we kick off the weekend, we can expect hot and hazy skies due to some Saharan dust lingering around.

Temperatures will stay slightly above average, reaching the low to mid-90s by afternoon.

“Clouds and typical summertime afternoon scattered storms will help to keep us below that Heat Advisory threshold, though it is still going to feel hot outside,” added The Weather Authority Meteorologist Lauren Kreidler.

It’s not looking bad for boaters. Winds are out of the southeast and west, around 5 to 10 knots.

Sunday’s weather will be similar, though a few degrees warmer in some spots. Highs will reach the low to mid-90s yet again, with more afternoon scattered storms.

All is quiet in the tropics. No areas are expected to develop in the next 7 days.
