Elections in Southwest Florida are underway. In Collier County, voters are making their voices heard by casting their early voting ballots.

WINK News talked with supervisor of elections Melissa Blazier who said vote-by-mail ballots can be dropped off at a secure ballot intake station located at our main office, satellite offices, and at any of our early voting locations during early voting hours.

“It’s sad to say that we’re hoping for 30% turnout in a primary election,” said Blazier. “Get out and vote. We have early voting daily until Saturday the 17 at 11 locations across the county. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and election day is obviously the last day to vote, that’s August 20th. Polls are open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and voters have to vote in their assigned polling location.”
