On Tuesday night WINK News reported deputies were searching for 11-year-old Pedro Simon Luis in Lee County. On Tuesday night, just before 10:45 p.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office announced that Pedro had been located and is now safe at home. A woman named Christina found Pedro at a local church and called for help. She told us her son is a friend of Pedro. He spoke up when he saw his face on the news. “He was like, ‘Hey, Pedro is on the news!,’ said Christina, “Last night, I ran across Pedro. He was sitting on the tice methodist church steps, and that’s when I called the police because I was aware of the mega drones and all the other forces looking for him.” Christina told WINK News she’s glad she could help a familiar face in her family’s neighborhood.
