A Fort Myers Beach pancake house is open after 701 days of being closed.

The Island’s Pancake House was destroyed during Hurricane Ian and has been rebuilding for almost two years.

The restaurant has been serving Fort Myers Beach since 1977.

Brian and Stacey Martins said it was their dream to own The Island’s Pancake House, but three months after owning the restaurant, Hurricane Ian ripped through it.

In a Facebook post, Brian and Stacey Martins thanked the town of Fort Myers Beach and the Fort Myers Beach Fire District.
