Man arrested after Fort Myers police confiscate nearly $1M and almost 700g of fentanyl

The Fort Myers Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a large-scale drug operation.

Police arrested Travis Hixton, 42, after the FMPD Special Enforcement Division and SWAT officers served a search warrant at his residence.

Upon SWAT’s arrival, Hixon refused to exit the residence. After an hour, Hixton relented holding white shirts and white socks.

After searching the residence, officers recovered:
• $949,849
• 683.1 grams of fentanyl
• 5.5 grams of oxycodone
• 23.8 grams of methamphetamine
• 176.7 grams of crack cocaine
• 1 Glock 43X handgun

According to FMPD, Hixon has gone undetected and has evaded arrest trafficking narcotics for many years.

This capture of almost $1 million is a City of Fort Myers record for forfeiture.

Hixon faces charges of:
• Trafficking in fentanyl
• Trafficking in cocaine
• Trafficking in methamphetamine
• Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Obstruction of a search warrant

Hixon remains held at the Lee County Jail, Monday.
