In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Bonita Springs Fire Station 27 received a guest: a sweet little bulldog.

The day after the storm passed, they found an adorable bulldog in their station. They said she was a sight for sore eyes!

Though no one could figure out how she made it inside, the crew welcomed her with open arms.

They made her comfortable, fed, snuggled, and took her to the vet to check for a microchip.

There was no chip and no leads to her family, but hope wasn’t lost.

Despite efforts to find her pre-storm family, no one has come forward. So now, she’s found a new home with FF Mayfield and has been named Helene.

Helene is living her best life, napping on her burrito blanket with her new family. Her silly ear-to-ear smile brings much-needed joy in the aftermath of the storm.
