Charlotte County opens resource center for those affected by Helene

Charlotte County has opened a multi-agency resource center at the Port Charlotte Town Center to help those affected by Helene.

The center is located at 1441 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte. The resource center is inside the mall, across from the FYE.

Charlotte County said the center will provide local and state resources to support recovery efforts.

It is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Charlotte County Transit Services is offering free rides to and from the multi-agency resource center.

For recovery information and assistance with scheduling a free ride, call the Charlotte County Emergency Operations Center at 941-833-4000 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
