Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis provided Floridians with the latest updates for Hurricane Milton.

On Tuesday, the governor held a joint call with state legislative leaders in the cabinet to brief them on Florida’s efforts on the storm and about the resources being offered and utilized by the state of Florida.

The state has had a major disaster declaration approved. That will help with things such as debris removal and individual assistance.

The state has tens of thousands of resources ready after the storm hits.

51 counties are still under a state of emergency.

“If you’re going to get out, get out now,” he said.
