Police searching for pair suspected of gift card fraud in Cape Coral and Fort Myers

The Cape Coral and Fort Myers police departments are asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals suspected of conducting fraudulent transactions. 

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the duo stole a purse in Cape Coral on Sept. 6 and visited multiple stores in both Cape Coral and Fort Myers. 

Using the victim’s credit card, the thieves purchased $2,000 worth of gift cards. 

The pair was seen driving a maroon, newer model Toyota C-HR.

The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating fraudulent transactions at the Family Dollar on 222 Fowler St. and the RaceTrac on 2335 Cleveland Ave. 

The Cape Coral Police Department is investigating fraudulent transactions at a Cape Coral Target.
