A Fort Myers man will spend the rest of his life in prison for distributing a lethal dose of fentanyl.

Joshua Robert Pulley received a life sentence as a habitual felony offender for first-degree murder related to the unlawful distribution of fentanyl.

He also received a 30-year sentence for the sale or delivery of fentanyl.

Pulley was convicted in November 2024 for the death of a woman in Lee County.

Court documents revealed that in December 2022, Pulley met the victim in a Fort Myers restaurant parking lot and provided her with drugs.

Evidence presented at trial included text messages between Pulley and the victim about the meeting.

Later that night, the victim was found unresponsive in her bedroom by her roommate.

An investigation determined that she had overdosed on fentanyl.

This case highlights the serious consequences of fentanyl distribution and its impact on the community.

Pulley’s life sentence serves as a significant legal precedent in Lee County.
