Naples ballroom dancer makes reality show debut

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Go inside Shelia Davis’ North Naples home and you’ll find trophies and medals, awards she’s earned in only 2 and a half years for ballroom dancing.

“Other than my children nothing has given me greater happiness,” said Davis.

That happiness is on display in a new reality television show called “Ballroom Blitz” on A&E.

“The best part for me was reliving the moment because it was such a great event.”

Camera crews followed Davis for a week inside her home and as she competed in Tampa.

“As long as it’s portrayed in a positive light in the spirit in which it’s intended, I would do it all day long,” said Davis.

Davis invited WINK News to watch her episode debut with family and friends by her side. She says she spends hours practicing. At this competition, Davis and her dance partner received first place. She said it was just as successful watching it all unfold again on her television.

“It was a nice Thanksgiving treat.”
