
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Lee County deputies are investigating an overnight crash that left one person dead on Christmas.
WINK News was on scene at Douglas Avenue North and Lee Boulevard just before 1 a.m.
Deputies say 50-year-old Eduardo Rodriguez crashed into the ‘Taylor Carpet One’ sign so hard, he was ejected from the vehicle.
According to authorities, Rodriguez wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
