PALM COAST, Fla. (AP) – Look out for the broomsticks in Palm Coast.

Hundreds of players are set to take the field at Palm Coast’s Indian Trails Complex this weekend as the US Quidditch Tournament holds its South Regionals this weekend.

Quidditch is a sport that comes from the pages of the Harry Potter books. Players, inspired by a game played by the characters in the J.K Rowling series, must have a broomstick under their legs at all times.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1zMryIH ) reports teams from the University of Florida, University of South Caroline and Florida State University are among those competing.

The Palm Coast event is one of seven regional contests hosted around the country.
