ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a dozen people near Englewood during the Water Tribe Everglades Challenge on Saturday. S
everal boats capsized in the small craft regatta.
Coast Guard officials were forced to cancel the entire event after some people suffered from hypothermia.
Around 135 boats were participating in the regatta which was supposed to begin in Tampa Bay and end in Key Largo.
