LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- A cleaning crew found a decomposed body in a foreclosed home.
The body has been identified as John Hoehn.
Neighbors on Arthur Avenue say he had been squatting in his foreclosed home, but they hadn’t seen him in months.
When two men with the mortgage company were sent to check on the house and clean it up, they found the decomposed body slumped over a nightstand in a bedroom.
“It was a pretty disturbing scene, some of the sheriffs were coming out of the house almost looking like they were gonna lose their lunch. It was looking like I was pretty glad I wasn’t anywhere near the house,” said neighbor Michael Olaski.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says they do not suspect any foul play.
It’s unclear how long ago the man died. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
