FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) – More than a hundred people packed a church in Fort Pierce to pay tribute to the eight people who died in a church van crash.

The crash happened a week ago Monday in Moore Haven in Glades County. The group from the Independent Haitian Assembly Church of God had just left a revival in Fort Myers. The driver, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, went through a stop sign late at night and crashed into a canal.

The tribute to the victims happened as part of the regular Easter Sunday service. The funerals are set for April 18 at the Harvest L. Fenn Center in Fort Pierce.
