Camelot, as you’ve never seen it before

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Barbara B. Mann Preforming Arts Hall has been transformed back to the medieval times as Camelot takes the stage.

Camelot tells the legend of King Arthur and takes you to the middle ages.

Company manager  Deborah Barrigan says this isn’t your average production. Show director Micheal Mcfadden has added some very modern touches to the medieval performance, giving it a “Game of Thrones” style attitude.

The costumes take you further back into the middle ages with their attention to detail, protective armor ready for battle and eclectic elegance set for royalty.

“These gorgeous long robes and silks and leather pieces, all genuine, just all really fantastic,” said Barrigan.

Speaking of battle, it’s the fights that will grab your attention as knights try to deflect the weight of a sword away and lunge in for the strike. More of a choreographed dance than an actual fight but still a spectacle to see.

Camelot plays at the Barbara B. Mann through Sunday, April 12 for tickets, click here. The Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall is located on the Campus of Florida Southwestern State College at 13350 FSW Pkwy.
