FORT MYERS, Fla. – For the seventh year, the gardens at the Edison Ford Winter Estates is featuring works of unique art made by Lee County students.
More than 20 schools participated, each making a garden sculpture out of recycled materials that can withstand the elements for display in the garden. Everything from hubcaps to CDs help make up some of the various works of art for this years theme, “Flowers in the Garden.”
Once at the garden you can also take in all they have to offer, by purchasing a plant or tree of your own. Even asking their on site horticulturist a question about one of your plants.
The event runs through May 15 and is free and open to the public. The Edison Ford Winter Estate is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is located at 2350 McGregor Blvd.
