NAPLES, Fla.- A car reported stolen 10 years ago was pulled from the bottom of a canal.

Only WINK News was on scene as the car was lifted out of the water near 10th Street North and 6th Avenue North.

The car was discovered by a dredging crew working in the canal. They hit an object in the water and then pulled up a car bumper.

The City of Naples Fire-Rescue dive team was called out to search the canal and located the car.

The car was reported stolen back in 2005. Authorities were able to determine that from the license plate.

Crime scene technicians spent some time out on the scene as well, looking for other evidence in the car but did not find anything.

Police will continue investigating.
