COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – An Immokalee woman died in an early morning crash Saturday. Florida Highway Patrol said the woman, 60-year-old Marie Joseph, was driving along Immokalee Road just north of Camp Keais Road when she swerved to try and miss a pedestrian and hit a tree. The crash happened around 4:45 a.m. Joseph was driving when she approached a man walking along the road. Troopers said she hit the pedestrian, then swerved off the road, flipping the SUV before it hit a tree. The pedestrian, 28-year-old Olivio Lucas, was seriously hurt.
