Bald eagle released back in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- A bald eagle is back in the wild after it was found a few weeks ago in a Cape Coral canal.

The eagle was released Friday afternoon in the Southeast Cape near where it was found.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officials and the Cape Coral Fire Department rescued the bald eagle with the help of the community.
