MGN Online LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. (AP) – A substitute teacher and athletic trainer at a Lauderdale Lakes high school has been charged with sexual battery after authorities say he had sex with a 16-year-old student. The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports 25-year-old Carlos Javier Rojas Paz, who taught at Boyd Anderson High School, was arrested Thursday. Authorities say Rojas Paz and the girl, now 17, also exchanged sexually suggestive photos. Rojas Paz has been charged with seven counts of sexual battery. Investigators say Rojas Paz told them he had intercourse with two other underage students and exchanged explicit photos with a 14 year-old girl. Those minors haven’t been identified. The Broward School District said Rojas Paz was a registered substitute teacher and taught health and wellness classes. It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
