LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A bobcat kitten that was rescued from a brush fire off Daniels Parkway and taken to the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW), has now been transported to the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa for further rehabilitation.

Veterinarians say during the bobcat’s time at CROW, her burnt paws healed and she gained weight.

Also joining the kitten in Tampa will be her roommate from CROW, an older bobcat who will act as a surrogate.

After another few months of rehabilitation at Big Cat Rescue, both bobcats will be returned to CROW for a local release back into the wild.

Big Cat Rescue says both bobcats are doing well on their first day.
