The crash happened at the intersection with Ben Hill Griffin Parkway just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers tell WINK News a car was making a U-turn when the truck tried to go around and slammed into the car’s side.
Authorities say 84-year-old William Schosek of North Fort Myers was killed in the crash.
