MIAMI (AP) – Officials say several rescue workers were hospitalized after a crash involving a fire truck and an ambulance.

Miami Fire-Rescue Assistant Chief Pete Gomez says the water-pumping truck and ambulance were on separate runs Tuesday afternoon when the crash occurred at an intersection near Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Gomez says four firefighters from the fire truck were taken to the hospital in stable condition as a precaution, while three firefighters and two patients from the ambulance were taken to the trauma center as a precaution.

It wasn’t immediately clear which vehicle was at fault.
