FORT MYERS Detective who fired fatal shot at Christopher Jordan returns to work Monday Fort Myers police have confirmed to WINK News the detective who shot and killed a man inside his home will return to work Monday morning.
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Fort Myers Fire Fighters responded to the 1100 block of Sumter Drive late Monday morning, for a report of a house fire. Jonkesia Cummings, came home from work to find the house she rents with her brother on fire. She told WINK News that she walked in her house to find thick black smoke and flames coming from a back bedroom and that the fire was electrical. Cummings says she reported an electrical issue to her landlord but he did nothing to fix that issue. The fire destroyed much of the home and all of the families belongings. Fire investigators from the Fort Myers Fire Department are working to determine if it was truly an electrical fire. No one was injured in the fire, the American Red Cross is assisting the family.
