Deputies investigating shooting in Tice

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Lee County deputies are investigating a shooting that happened at Ortiz and Elvas Avenues.

Deputies say at about 5:35 p.m. on Sunday they were dispatched to the 300 block of Ortiz Avenue and discovered a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Detectives believe the incident may have been a domestic violence situation.

Witnesses say they heard three gunshots and saw a woman on the ground bleeding.

Deputies are now looking for 51-year-old Ygnacio Sanchez. He is described as a Hispanic man, last seen driving a green Chevrolet Blazer with a Chihuahua inside. Sanchez was last seen wearing a white undershirt with a blue and white striped button down shirt.

The condition of the woman who was shot is still unknown.
