Naples boat show sails into town

NAPLES, Fla – The Naples Boat Show sailed into Southwest Florida this weekend, hoping to have something for everyone.

The Marine Industries Associations of Collier County hosted the event. MIACC President, Frank Perrucci says boating brings in millions of dollars to Southwest Florida every year.

Perrucci says with more season residents starting to make their way to the Sunshine State, he hopes the event will be the start of a strong boating season.

“Tremendous amount of boaters that come through the area, traveling from up north through to Key West. They stop here as an overnight or two, go to the restaurants, go to the shops. It’s a total impact, it really is.”

The boat show is being held at the Naples City Dock, and runs until 5 p.m. Sunday evening.
