LCSO: ID needed for body found on FMB

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla.- The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify the body of a man found over the weekend on Fort Myers Beach.

On Saturday around 6:30 p.m., authorities found the man unresponsive on the beach area near the 3000 block of Estero Boulevard.

Authorities say the man, in his mid 60s or early 70s, was taken to the hospital where he later passed away. Detectives were unable to track down any family members.

The man is described as a white male, with gray short hair, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall wearing blue swim trunks with a double white stripe on the sides.
