RIVERVIEW, Fla. (AP) – Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies say a 14-year-old boy was shot during a home invasion.
In a news release, officials say Markel Cobb was home alone at around 2:45 Friday morning when he heard noises downstairs. He went to investigate and found two men wearing masks.
The men shot him four times before leaving the home with electronics.
The teen was taken to a hospital where he’s being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The shooters fled in a light green VW Beetle.
Detectives are investigating.
