FORT MYERS, Fla. – Today an opportunity to help animals recently surrounded by devastation. It’s the Carolina’s rescue effort. Laura Braun-Leinen from the Animal Refuge Center, or ARC, in North Fort Myers, has information on what you can do if you want to get involved.

Now, ARC is heading to the Carolina’s to save animals that are in jeopardy from the flooding .

If you’d like to help here’s what you need to know:

You must be willing commit to fostering a dog or cat for two to three months.

The animals are expected to arrive Tuesday or Wednesday, and all animals will be medically screened. ARC will also cover any food or medical expenses.

And if you already have a dog, a meet and greet between your dog and the foster is mandatory.
