PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) – A Florida Panhandle man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for beating his girlfriend to death.
As part of a deal with Bay County proseuctors, 29-year-old Justin Davis was sentenced Monday after pleading no contest to manslaughter. The Panama City News Herald (http://goo.gl/kz3eID ) reports that Davis had previously been deemed mentally unfit to stand trial.
Authorities say Davis repeatedly stuck 31-year-old Jessica Brandy Huey on the face and head until her neck broke during a domestic argument in August 2014.
