Fort Myers police investigate overnight robbery

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers police are searching for a man who robbed a 7-Eleven early Wednesday morning.

Around 2:40 a.m., the suspect entered the 7-Eleven located on the 2200 block of Winkler Avenue, and pointed a black handgun at the clerks, while demanding money from the register.

The man ran from the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as being in his late teens to early twenties, average build, wearing a black t-shirt over dark shorts and black sneakers. The suspect had a mask covering most of this head, wore leather gloves and had tattoos on both arms.
