Armed man robs Fort Myers Popeyes

FORT MYERS, Fla.- An armed man robbed the Popeyes located at 3238 Fowler Street Tuesday night, Fort Myers police said.

Around 7:30 p.m., the man armed with a semi-automatic handgun entered the fast food restaurant and threatened three people to get down on the floor while demanding money from the register, police said.

The suspect is described as  being around 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a gray hooded jacket, dark colored pants, mask and gloves.

After leaving the restaurant, the suspect fled northwest across the parking lot.
