FORT MYERS, Fla. – A Bonita Springs man accused of being a “child pornographer” was arrested on Tuesday and is facing felony charges for possessing child pornography, law enforcement said.

Kevin Leonard Provenzano, 47, is charged with 10 felony counts for having child pornography, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. He is also charged with five counts of cruelty towards a child, deputies said.

Provenzano was arrested at 27079 Matheson Ave. #102 in Bonita Springs on Tuesday in an undercover operation conducted by a Lee County deputy, LCSO said.

The operation lead the deputy to Provenzano, who was sending images and videos depicting child pornography on a file-sharing network, according to deputies. Deputies said they uncovered about 200 images of children engaging in sexual acts on Provenzano’s cellphone.

Deputies have called Provenzano a “child pornographer.” Provenzano was in Lee County Jail on Monday, LCSO said.
