LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – An investigation into a body found at a Lehigh Acres intersection Sunday evening has been upgraded to a homicide, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said Monday morning. Jonthomas Hobbs, 17, was found at 32nd Street SW and Wanda Avenue at about 9:42 p.m., the sheriff’s office said. “Detectives say this was an isolated incident and the surrounding community is not in any danger,” the department said in a statement. Hobbs was arrested in 2013 for second-degree battery, according to Lee County jail records. His last listed address was on Maddox Lane in Bonita Springs. No further information was immediately available.
