Six arrested in Mariner High School vandalism case

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Authorities have arrested six teenage suspects who were wanted in connection with vandalism last week at Mariner High School in Cape Coral.

Austin Vickers, 19, Norlin Casas, 18, Robert Taylor, 18, Mercel Valenzuela-Cesar, 20, plus a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old are facing charges of burglary and property damage/criminal mischief, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said. Four of the six were taken into custody within 24 hours of the incident, which took place May 26. Vickers was arrested Thursday.

Only Vickers remains in custody. The group is alleged to have caused more than $600 in damage.
