PITTSBORO, Miss. (AP) – Authorities have arrested a Calhoun County man they say raped and impregnated his daughter.
Sheriff Greg Pollan told news outlets that officials arrested the 48-year-old man Thursday on charges including rape.
Pollan says the man’s 22-year-old daughter told authorities her father raped her multiple times in Calhoun County and Florida and fathered her 8-month-old child.
The investigation is ongoing. Pollan says a DNA test will be done and expects more charges to be filed.
The father is currently being held in Calhoun County Jail. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
