FORT MYERS, Fla. – A 19-year-old with autism was hospitalized after meeting two women on Backpage.com for sex, according to a police report. The teen told the women he would pay them $400, the report said. But his mother said he functions on the level of a 10 to 14-year-old child and did not comprehend the situation. When the two women arrived to his home they came accompanied by two men, according to the police report. Then when it was discovered that the teen did not have money, the group forced the teen into a car, driving him to multiple banks with forged checks that belonged to his mother, according to records. Tellers at the various banks refused to cash the checks and a call was made the teen’s family, police said. The group, which included Joseph Forpomes, beat the teen in the parking lot of a Fort Myers Check ‘N Go, according to police reports. The teen jumped out the car and Forpomes drove away, police said. The teenager was taken to the hospital with bruises, police said. The three other individuals have not been arrested.
