Man stabbed during robbery in Whiskey Creek

FORT MYERS, Fla.- A man was robbed and stabbed Friday at an apartment complex on the 6100 block of Whiskey Creek Drive, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said.

Just after 11 a.m., the victim was approached by the suspect near an elevator who threatened and stabbed him twice, before robbing him, authorities said.

The suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot.

After the incident was reported, multiple schools were placed on lockdown for the safety of students. All lockdowns were lifted shortly after.

The victim was treated at a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid to late 20s, between 5’8” and 5’10” with a muscular build, shoulder length sandy colored hair with a fade cut, wearing grey sweatpants and a white tank top.

The suspect is believed to have a Northeastern accent, officials added.
