NAPLES, Fla. – If you’ve ever wanted to take your game to the next level and improve at a sport, there’s a spot in Naples working to make you a better athlete. The Player Development Center has a strong focus on baseball and softball but also conditions athletes in golf, volleyball and soccer. Using technology from a computer system called HitTrax, coaches are able to evaluate a baseball players swing in the batting cage and analyze where improvement is needed. Trainers then use strength and conditioning along with personal training on the gym and weight room side to improve what the athlete can do on the field or court. Since 2014 The Player Development Center has sent 14 of their former high school athletes to play baseball at the collegiate level and has strong relationships with a number baseball and softball programs across the country.
