Photo via FHP FORT MYERS, Fla. – A pedestrian was struck then sent flying into the side of the road on Ortiz Avenue near North Galaxy Drive at 7 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver who struck the person never stopped, leaving the pedestrian, 31-year-old Diego Reyes-Lopez of Lehigh Acres, to die in a culvert filled with water, FHP said. The car is described as dark-colored 2013 to 2015 Nissan Altima. It could have damage to the right front or right side.
