CAPE CORAL, Fla. — An arrest was made following the Saturday night crash in Cape Coral, a Cape Coral Police Depatment official reported.

Michael Lowry, 26, of Cape Coral, was arrested Oct. 9 on a charge of Reckless Driving with Serious Bodily Injury, a press release said.

The crash occurred in Cape Coral Saturday night on Veterans Memorial Parkway between Santa Barbara Blvd. and Skyline Blvd. A juvenile driver hit Lowry’s car, but didn’t pull over, the press release said.

“Lowry followed after the vehicle in an attempt to get the other driver to stop,” the press release said. “According to several witnesses, Lowry passed them at a high rate of speed, left his lane of travel and struck the other vehicle which caused the vehicle to flip over.”

This crash had injuries, a CCPD official said. The roadway was closed for about two hours, but is now open.

No additional information was immediately available.
