NAPLES, Fla. – An elderly gibbon missing from the Naples Zoo is feared dead after it presumably fell into water inside its habitat and drowned, officials said.

Divers spent Monday morning searching for the gibbon, named Sumba, but stopped due to low water temperatures.

The cruise that takes zoo visitors to see the primates was closed Monday, but that was because of mechinical issue. It’s slated to reopen Tuesday.
