Wisconsin man charms SWFL with Christmas trees, pickles

Published:

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Robert Heath lives in Wisconsin, but the 88-year-old is a Southwest Florida institution.

Heath first began traveling to the area to sell Christmas trees 43 years ago, and he’s made it an annual pilgrimage since. Heath’s business has a twist — customers who buy a tree get a free jar of pickles from his farm.

Heath’s lots this year at at 11801 S. Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers and 1863 Tamiami Trail N. in Naples.
