NAPLES, Fla. — A well-known SWFL chef has been chosen to appear on the Food Network’s hit show “Cutthroat Kitchen.”

Chef Asif Syed serves authentic Indian cuisine at 21 Spices in the Sugden Park Plaza on U.S. 41 East. This will be his second appearance on a Food Network show. Syed was on “Guy’s Grocery Games” last fall.

“Cutthroat Kitchen” is a cooking show hosted by Alton Brown that features four chefs competing in a three-round elimination cooking competition. The contestants face auctions in which they can purchase opportunities to sabotage one another.

Each chef is given $25,000 at the start of the show and whoever is left standing at the end keeps the money that hasn’t been spent in the auctions.

Chef Syed’s episode will be featured on Wednesday.
